The 361 Spinject is a really nice light weight trainer great for someone wanting a light-weight and responsive shoe. The base/platform is oddly wider than anything else from 361 helping it prevent the foot from hanging over the sides, even with an orthotic inside. There is no plastic plate under the sole, instead 361 went with a smooth feeling full contact bottom. Way to go 361!!!
The upper is made of a high quality knit that hugs the foot well without being uncomfortably tight. Cushioning is improved by 361's proprietary QuickForm. I haven't done enough mileage myself, but I have heard it is cushioned without being mushy. More on the responsive side and works fantastic as a cross trainer for the gym. 361's have become a favorite of our customers at Orange Theory. The mid-sole is 8mm's higher in the back than the front to give a slightly flatter feel which is lower than typical 10-12mm's. Improves this shoe for doing lounges and exercises like that at the gym.
The Spinject is well priced at $110 and looks great.
